Wichman+Gunther Architects was founded in 1978 by
Jim Wichman and Mark Gunther.
We consider ourselves Urban Architects—and the city’s core is our workplace.

As consulting architects to the City of Cincinnati since 1987,
we have worked with local developers and property owners participating in City housing programs that have produced over 3000 dwellings within various inner city locales. This includes numerous projects that have successfully been awarded federal and state tax credits.

Wichman+Gunther Architects have received commissions from both market and non-profit developers that build homes for residents of various income levels—creating “blended communities” that are the backbone of the city’s urban core.  Additional office, retail and food/beverage commissions are represented in a portfolio of designs that showcase the years of professional experience.
